One of New Zealand’s most popular comedians Dai Henwood is looking forward to being immersed in Steampunk and having a cheese roll while in Oamaru next month.

Henwood will perform stand-up with fellow comedian Justine Smith at the Brydone Hotel on September 20.

The comedian said he had decided to book a few extra days in Oamaru, as he had not spent much time here before and heard the restaurants and “Steampunk action” were good.

“I’m just looking forward to a cheese roll and Steampunk.

“I’ll be getting into that.”

Oamaruvians should be prepared to have a good laugh during their show, he said.

“We are basically going to bring the laughter down to Oamaru.

“Have a pie, a couple of beers and get ready for a good time.”

Henwood said he was looking forward to working with Smith again, who was the “best man” at his wedding, as she was very funny.

“She has always been a comedian who had made me laugh.”

The evening will be held at the Brydone Hotel on Saturday, September 20, at 8pm.

Tickets are available from Sports Central Brewhouse, Liquorland Oamaru, The Brydone Hotel and Northstar for $50.
