Auckland-based ukulele trio,The Nukes, are looking forward to coming back to the “cool little town” of Oamaru next week, band member Ben Collier says.
The group will be playing at the Oamaru Opera House on Friday, September 19, as part of their second album release tour.
Collier said they last played in Oamaru four years ago, at the Penguin Club, and they can’t wait to come back.
“We love Oamaru, it’s such a cool little town.
“There’s lots of things to see and do there.
“We’re looking forward to playing at the Oamaru Opera House, it’s quite exciting for us.”
The concert will include a lot of songs from their new album and it will be an entertaining night, full of humour and energy, he said.
The music is all original and there is quite a heavy bass element to it, which is different to many other ukulele bands, the musician said.
The trio will be performing at the Oamaru Opera House on Friday, September 19, at 7pm, for the release of their album, Lucky Ones.
