The Oamaru Repertory Society’s latest show The Amorous Ambassador isn’t quite a romantic comedy, but it sure has the laugh factor.
Director Peter Sadler said the show had been a lot of fun to direct.
The story is based in England and takes a saucy turn with an American ambassador is caught having an affair with the next-door-neighbour.
The cast includes four new people to the society, including Seth Styx.
”He is delightful,” said Mr Sadler.
”He is also dancing in Chicago and he is good value.”
The cast have been rehearsing the show for months now and Mr Sadler said the story line will appeal to all audiences.
”The old ladies will like it and the young ones will get a kick out of it,” he said.
The show opened on Saturday night and will be showing until August 3.
Tickets cost $15 and are available from the Box Office or by phoning 03-4348868 between noon and 5pm.
