Waitaki Girls’ High School held its annual talent quest recently, with 12 different acts competing to be named the winner of Wai Factor.
Groups and individuals all hit the stage, trying to win the coveted title of Wai Factor champion.
The girls went for laughter and comedy as well as serious talent, with all the acts pleasing the crowd of more than 200 staff and pupils.
Talent Quest judge Helen Beckingsale said it was a fantastic event highlighted by the talent of each group.
“Everyone was awesome and it was a great show to be judge of, but at the end of the day, there could only be one winner and we chose Abigail Ferguson and Baylee Berry as the winners.
“They sang and this was a favourite amongst the fans also,” Mrs Beckingsale said.
Dance group The Highlanders came second and Bronwen Ardouin came third.
The event was held over three days, with the qualifiers on Monday, Tuesday before the final on Friday.
