BNZ’s Closed for Good initiative on Wednesday saw staff around Oamaru pitching in, planting, gardening and cleaning around the community.
The nationwide initiative involved nearly 5500 BNZ employees getting stuck into some of the thousands of odd jobs that need doing around New Zealand while the bank was “Closed for Good”.
The banks doors were closed for a whole day so that staff could help out community and not-for-profit groups with projects that support the wider community.
In Oamaru, staff were involved in planting at the Oamaru Creek, helping out at the North Otago Toy Library gardening, and helping Plunket with a general tidy up.
