Scotts Brewing Co of Oamaru have produced another award winning beer.

Their B10 Porter won a silver award at the recent New World Beer Awards, which were judged by some of the leading experts in New Zealand.

Tyla Scott, who along with her husband Phil run Scotts Brewing Co, said it was great to see one of their beers receiving an accolade.

“We are absolutely stoked with the award for the B10 Porter; we feel is a great beer and we’re really pleased it’s been recognised.”

The beer is the company’s second to be recognised for an award. A gluten free option which they have available also has been an award winner.

The B10 Porter is one of the favourites amongst visitors to the brewery.

“It’s quite popular and is certainly my favourite beer out of our ones available.”

The beer has now been distributed widely around local liquor outlets and Mrs Scott was confident that the beer would attract plenty of interest at the Victorian Heritage Celebrations.
