The cork problem has been plugged with local craftsman finally able to launch the only 25-year-old single malt whisky in the Southern Hemisphere.
The New Zealand Whisky Collection had already launched the new single malt in September at events in Melbourne and Paris, but plans for New Zealand had been stalled due to problems sourcing a cork.
New Zealand Whisky Collection operations manager Grant Finn said problems with suppliers had pushed production back “a number of weeks”.
