Weston School held a sale on Friday to help raise funds for new library books.
The books were donated to the school, of which the best ones were taken by the library and the remainder put up for sale.
Weston School principal Nicky Ryan said the event went very well.
“We were really happy with how the sale went and we had a lot of people in, so that was good,” she said.
Most of the books given to the school by the children were sold and all the remaining adult books were given to the Rotary Club, while the remaining children’s books would be resold.
Home and School organiser Donna Carter was overwhelmed by the community support.
“It went really well and everyone came and supported us, and we are looking to host another book sale in the near future.”
All the proceeds from the sale go to the school library for new books.
