CCS Disability Action in Oamaru is on the lookout for some community organisations to help fill the office space in their Thames St building.
The CCS occupies the middle area of the building, but on Friday they will be relocating to the front of the building to make way for more community organisations that are after office space to set up shop.
The Community House will take over the CCS leasing of the building, inviting anyone seeking office space to get in contact.
The CCS building is located just past Beaurepaires.
Community House chairman Dick Cottier said he would love to fill the space with community organisations.
“Ideally we want community organisations who are looking for an office to set up here, but if there are any other businesses who require an office or a meeting room then they are more than welcome to apply also.”
One bonus for whoever decides to set up an office at the CCS Building is rates, power and everything will be included in one.
“There will be one set price for everything: rates, power, leasing of the space. They will all just come under one sum.”
Meanwhile, CCS regional manager Joy Gunn said they were welcoming naming ideas for the building.
“There are options for people or community organisations to help decide what the new building should be named,” she said.
“Ideally we’d love the name to be community-based and include some of the organisation who are either based here or decide to move here.”
The competition closes on June 15.
