A mid-spring fashion fiesta is raising funds for the North Otago Cancer Society.
A fashion parade will be held at the Loan & Merc on the evening of Wednesday, October 12. It will feature local people modelling new-season clothing from Caroline Eve and Preen teamed with accessories from Neat Feet, sportswear and footwear from Sutherlands, and eyewear from Brian Denny Optometrist.
Each business will give a commentary on its items and how they can be incorporated into the audience’s wardrobes and lifestyles.
Parade organiser Rayna Hamilton said there would also be five pop-up shops in the Loan & Merc, and a raffle with eight draws.
The ticket price of $30 includes canapes and bubbles upon arrival.
Mrs Hamilton said she was thrilled to get so many businesses contributing, and thanked restaurateur Sally-Ann Donnelly for her generous support with the venue and hospitality.
She has enlisted the services of models of varying ages and sizes, to ensure the parade relates to the people of North Otago.
The doors open at 6.30pm and the parade starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from Preen, Neat Feet and Caroline Eve, and by phoning Mrs Hamilton on 431-7897 or 27 362-4980.
