New image for Iona

Oamaru rest-home Iona is getting something of an image makeover.
Presbyterian Support Otago, which operates the aged care facility, has adopted the national Enliven brand for its services for older people, and its Oamaru base is included.
Staff members, volunteers and residents and their families have been introduced to the new branding, which will be seen on advertisements, brochures and signage in the coming months.
“Enliven is both a brand and a service philosophy,” Iona manager Steph Leith said.
“The name has been used by other Presbyterian Support regions throughout New Zealand for some years. “By adopting it in Otago, we are promoting the extent of our service network, from Auckland to Invercargill.
“The Enliven service philosophy is about healthier, happier living no matter what your age, so it perfectly describes our approach to supporting older people in Otago.
“Residents are encouraged to participate in local community activities and to try new things. An emphasis on choice and contribution has also long been part of our service philosophy, and now we have a name for it, Enliven.”Iona has Ministry of Health four-year certification, putting it in the top echelon of aged care facilities.
