Oamaru man receives honour

Oamaru’s David Hill feels there are not enough superlatives to describe his feelings on being recognised as part of this year’s Queens Birthday honours list.

Mr Hill, who lives in Weston, has been made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZOM) for services to Paralympic sports and health, to go with the Paralympics Order of Merit he received last year, an honour which only 15 people can hold at one time.

Speaking about his MNZOM award, he said he was delighted to be among some illustrious company.
