The Rotary Club of Oamaru is hard at work today sorting books in preparation for their bookarama.
Helen Webster, convener of the rotary club bookarama, said they were hoping the public would dig deep and send in as many books as possible.
“We accept all books as long as they’re in reasonable condition,” Mrs Webster said.
“We love getting all sort of books.”
Books about New Zealand and written by New Zealanders were especially welcome and would have their own section, she said.
The bookarama brought in thousands of dollars each time it was held, all of which was used for local projects.
Mrs Webster said she hoped this year’s fundraiser would be just as successful.
“The proceeds all go to the rotary club and they all go back into local projects.”
Puzzles, Lego, DVDs and more would also be on offer at the bookarama, she said.
The bookarama runs from May 23-25 at the Oamaru Club.
Books can be dropped off at either of the New Worlds in Oamaru or at The Warehouse.
