Tickling your tastebuds

This year’s Relay For Life will tickle your tastebuds thanks to The Last Post and North Otago Idea Services, who will be serving up an array of delicious food.

The event, which is organised to raise funds for the Cancer Society, will be held at Awamoa Park March 28-29.

Nicola Arney and Heather Ormandy, owners of The Last Post, will be providing food and Ms Ormandy’s brother George Ross will be alongside them, manning a sausage sizzle for the North Otago Idea Services relay team.

Ms Ormandy said her brother had been working as a prep chef once a week for The Last Post for more than 10 years and loved it.

The Last Post will be selling food, with proceeds going to the Cancer Society, as well as providing a VIP afternoon tea for cancer survivors and family.

“It was quite good to do something to give back to the community,” she said.

North Otago Idea Services supported employment and transition co-ordinator Sonja Edmondston said Mr Ross was absolutely looking forward to it.

Please contact Laura Heselwood onĀ (027) 938-9421 for more information about the VIP afternoon tea.
