The Oamaru District Court was held at the temporary facility on Humber St yesterday and was presided over by Judge Joanna Maze.

Tangaroa Tamati Beckham, 18, farm worker, of Papakaio, was convicted, fined $350 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for six months (starting January 23, 2015) for driving while disqualified on Waimate Highway on September 27, 2014.

Emma Rose Crombie, 20, of Oamaru, was convicted, fined $250 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for six months for driving while suspended on Chelmer St on September 26, 2014.

Kara Marie Davies, 24, of Oamaru, was convicted and sentenced to 40 hours’ community work for common assault after throwing punches at the victim’s head without injuring them on August 17, 2014.

Iliya Robert Charles McDowell, 23, of Oamaru, was convicted and sentenced to six months’ supervision for breaching his community work on August 21, August 28, September 4 and September 11, 2014.

Aaron Mark MaCahan, 19, of Oamaru, was convicted and discharged for using a phone for a fictitious purpose after making a bomb threat on June 5, 2014.

Ryan Ivan Brent McLeish, 17, of Oamaru, was convicted, fined $250, disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for six months, ordered to pay medical expenses of $75 and ordered to pay analyst fees of $109.25 for driving with an excess blood alcohol level of 107mg on Thames Highway on October 9, 2014.

Lorreen Ritchie, 34, of Twizel, was convicted and fined $100 on for possessing 8g cannabis and fined another $100 for possessing two cannabis pipes following a police check on her address on August 18, 2014.

Thomas William Russell, 20, shepherd, of Kurow, was convicted, fined $350 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for driving with an excess breath alcohol level of 471mcg near Lake Tekapo on August 31, 2014.

Raymond Arthur Scholfield, 56, truck driver, of Kakanui, was convicted and discharged for unlawfully possessing a firearm on November 4, 2014.

Christopher Charles Topi, 52, of Oamaru, was convicted, fined $400, ordered to pay medical expenses of $75 and analyst fees of $109.25 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for six months for driving with an excess blood alcohol level of 98mg on Harbour St on May 27, 2014.
