Aoraki Polytechnic is taking the next step on its proposed restructuring.
Acting chief executive Alex Cabrera said, with the period in which staff can give feedback having ended about a week ago, the polytechnic was starting to review the feedback they had received from staff.
“This week we will collate the feedback and start with the analysis and consideration,” he said.
“The purpose of the consultation is for staff to provide their feedback on proposed changes and alternative solutions. Whilst there is a proposed change to the organisation structure, no final decisions will be made until all submissions have been considered.
“Some positions are proposed to be disestablished, however, where new positions would be established we would attempt to redeploy staff.”
There was no timeframe for a final decision, he said.
“The timing of a final decision will depend on the volume and complexity of the feedback . . . following that, any potential changes and timeframes would need to be determined and communicated.”
Reports to the Oamaru Mail of confirmed redundancies at various campuses were not true, Mr Cabrera said.
