The Omarama Fire Station will be open to the public on Saturday for the first time since it was refurbished at the end of last year.
A tour of the station will be on offer from 1pm-4pm and a car-cutting exercise will also on show.
Omarama chief fire officer Howard Williams said the opening would a chance for people to view the changes.
“We don’t want everyone turning up, just the locals who are interested in seeing what the new building looks like.”
Mr Williams hopes people will appreciate the work that has been done on it.
“Hopefully people will like what we’ve done to the new station, and hopefully the car-cutting exercise will be interesting.”
A formal opening for the station was held back in December.
