GIVING TO THE COMMUNITY: Representatives of Oamaru groups (from left) Brian Dark and Mike Thorn, of Waitaki Community Patrol, Carole Behrens and Debbie Huls, of North Otago Asthma Society, Mary Neill, Val Read and Joy Jenkins, of Arthitis New Zealand North Otago Branch, and Ann Harrex and Daniel Miller, of Supporting Families in Mental Illness Waitaki, celebrate after receiving cheques from Z Oamaru manager, Tracey Matthews.
Waitaki Community Patrol received $1007, North Otago Asthma Society, $703, Arthitis New Zealand, $903 and Supporting Families in Mental Illness Waitaki Inc received $1387.
Mrs Huls said the donation to her group would provide children with asthma free swimming lessons.
All the money given to the groups will be staying in the region.
