Thousands of people flocked to Oamaru from all over the country this weekend for two successful homegrown events.
Steampunk enthusiasts and others interested in a fun weekend attended a number of different events around Oamaru for the NZ Steampunk Festival.
Oamaru Fire & Steam, organised in conjunction with the festival by Tourism Waitaki and The Criterion Hotel, drew a crowd of thousands for fire performers, holograms, food and entertainment on Harbour St on Friday night.
