The Citizens Advice Bureau and Salvation Army are right behind free GP visits for children under 13, which started yesterday.

The measures offer children under the age of 13 free GP visits, including after hours if required.

Salvation Army captain Russell Garbett, of Oamaru, welcomed the scheme.
