‘Maheno’ bell returns…and a replica too

Maheno School’s trip to Australia could become a bi-annual event.

The school, which was invited to Fraser Island for the 100 year commemorative Anzac Service as well as remembering the Maheno Ship which was turned into a hospital ship in 1915.

It sank just off the shore of Fraser Island in 1935 and has remained there ever since.
