Oamaru is getting fired up for a big weekend of music, entertainment, costume, dramatic lighting, Victorian invention and more with two popular annual events.
Thousands of people are expected to hit the town from all around the country and further afield for the NZ Steampunk Festival and Oamaru Fire and Steam.
NZ Steampunk Festival organiser Helen Jansen said she could not quantify how many people she expected to come along but it would be in the hundreds.
