The young girl who touched the hearts of thousands around the country during the last season of New Zealand’s Got Talent will be performing in Oamaru this Saturday.

At her audition, 10-year-old Oceana Olsen, from Christchurch, moved the judges to tears in her rendition of Christina Aguilera’s Beautiful.

She will be singing several songs of her choice during the show day and country fair at some point between 12pm and 2pm.

Event organiser Jayne Jackson said she had contacted Oceana to ask if she would perform and was told she would have to talk to her mother.

“They will both be coming down for the day,” she said.

Event promoter Anton Roswell said it was going to be great having Oceana come to sing for Oamaru.

“It is a big plus, especially for families; there will be a big interest.”

“Mums and dads will remember her from the TV.”

The Oamerican and Allcomers Car Show will run from February 7-9, with the country fair and car show at the A&P Grounds between 10am and 2pm on Saturday.

Public entry to the show is $5 for adults and children are free.

Anyone wishing to take part in the car show needs to register by calling Jayne Jackson on 021 174 4189 or emailing fordloverjayne@live.com
