Oamaru Steam and Rail general manager Harry Andrew and his staff members are 100% behind this year’s Rail Safety Week campaign.
Rail Safety Week, which starts today, comes fresh on the back of a rail accident in Hampden on August 1, where a man was lucky to walk away uninjured after colliding with a train.
This year’s slogan is “expect trains” and that was something Mr Andrews said many people needed to do.
