Oamaru food enthusiast Tayna Halcrow has been inducted as a New Zealand Guild of Food Writers’ member.

“For years I’ve dreamt about being one of those Nigella Lawson food writers,” she said.

“This year has been huge for me.”

As well as writing for Mediterranean Market, she has teamed up with Sue Morton to create Shared Plate, which educates and demonstrates different techniques of cooking.

“The success has been lovely,” she said.
