Fight continues for total ban on legal highs

A local business that has an interim licence to sell legal highs has only motivated the Waitaki Safer Community Legal High Working Group to work harder in educating the community about the effects of the substances.

The group is a coalition of organisations and individuals who have a vested interest in eliminating the use of synthetic cannabinoids in the community.

Waitaki Mayor Alex Familton recently wrote a letter to Associate Minister of Health Todd McLay, voicing his disappointment in the Government.
