The Venerable Victorian Alfresco Affair is being held on the evening of Thursday, November 13 at the Early Settlers Hall, Oamaru, and involves a play about picnic etiquette and how to pack a hamper followed by a food demonstration on items that you would find in your Victorian hamper.
A grand tour of the countryside by either double decker bus or car is to conclude with a picnic at Totara Estate on Thursday, November 13, and high tea will be served at Pen-y-bryn Lodge on Saturday, November 15 from 4-6pm. Also on this evening Annie Baxter, from the former Annie’s Victorian Tearooms is holding a Victorian soiree, or social gathering, at Burnside Homestead, Oamaru.
