Oamaru ‘important to nation’s history’


Renowned British industrial heritage and restoration expert Sir Neil Cossons has visited Oamaru on a whistle-stop tour which included addressing an audience at Burnside Homestead and a business breakfast held at the Brydone Hotel.

The latest visit is Sir Neil’s fourth to Oamaru and he commented that he was very impressed with the progress the Oamaru community has made with the restoration and use of its historic buildings.
