SURPRISE VISIT: The North Otago under-11s rugby team (pictured) were given a welcome surprise last night, when All Black and Otago player Tom Donnelly (pictured centre) turned up. The 2m-tall lock handed out North Otago team shirts to all the players in a ceremony at the Athletic Marist clubrooms. The team was noticeably buzzing in the company of an All Black, and one player was even bold enough to shake the Highlander's hand while wearing a Crusaders' jersey. Donnelly had been invited to the presentation by North Otago Heartland coach Barry Matthews, after playing a round of golf with him earlier in the afternoon.
