Chance to show talents
Whether you have the voice of an angel or the rap skills of Jay-Z, your moment to shine is just around the corner.
In January, The X Factor NZ is holding auditions in Oamaru to find the next great recording artist.
The X Factor has launched numerous international acts, including Leona Lewis, Reece Mastin and One Direction.
The X Factor NZ is open to singers aged 14 and up - either solo performers or groups.
Co-executive producer Andrew Szusterman says it is an opportunity of a lifetime.
"I encourage you to start preparing now," he said in a message to would-be stars.
Multi-platinum recording artist Stan Walker, the first judge for The X Factor NZ to be announced, said he was looking forward to seeing what Kiwis had to offer.
"I know New Zealand is full of amazing people and singers that just need a chance to show how great they are," he said.
"I want to encourage anyone who thinks they have what it takes, but is too scared to give it a try, to get up and give it a go.
"You've got nothing to lose."
Oamaru is one of 27 locations across the country where auditions will be held.
Auditions will be held on January 8, at the Oamaru Opera House from 10am to 3pm.
