Curious get noses into joints
Noted Oamaru artist Donna Demente will open her home and studio tomorrow as part of the second Nosey Parkers quirky and colourful tour of four homes, two studios and a gallery.
The tour will also include the homes and/or studios of Dyan Prujean, Honey Wilson, Barbara Chapman and Oliver Briggs.
"The tour, which is a fundraiser for the Grainstore Gallery Artists group, offers something a bit different from the standard tours of homes and gardens," Donna said.
"These are the quirky and colourful and follow our inaugural tour last year which was really successful."
Tickets for the Oamaru Nosey Parker homes, gardens and studios tour are available from the Oamaru I-site at $20 per person and the tour runs from 1pm to 3.30pm, followed by afternoon tea and entertainment at the Grainstore Gallery.
Tickets include a map and directions.
"Afternoon tea entertainment will include the Ukulele Orchestra and the launch of Sew Demente, which is a variety of different artists capturing artistic work in fabrics.
"I am very excited about the work which is being produced."
