Members of the North Otago RSA have lost one of their most valued members.

"Boss Cat", honorary RSA member number two, was owned by Nick Hilhorst of Oamaru, but he shared his affections between Mr Hilhorst and the membership and staff at the RSA in Itchen St.

Mr Hilhorst said Boss Cat frequently made the journey from Hull St to Itchen St across the busy road, managing to get across without incident.

Boss Cat was 16 years old when he passed away, but he will be remembered by everyone in the Watts Davies' painting which hangs on the wall at the RSA, bearing the plaque, "Boss Cat, honorary member Number 2."
