There has been an alien invasion at Fenwick School.

Alien creations, of all shapes and sizes, adorn the shelves of the primary school's office after the first "Fenwick Challenge" of 2012.

Each term children and their families are encouraged to get innovative and create various masterpieces showing skill in creativity and presentation.

The first challenge of 2012 was themed "Alien Invasion".

Each alien had to fit specific criteria, including not exceeding 30cm in height.

Fenwick School media liaison Belinda Brosnan said there was huge response from the children and families, ending in the over-population of the office block by the mysterious creatures.

The challenge was the brain child of Fenwick School assistant principal and Junior Syndicate leader Tracey Bell who, along with a teaching team of Mrs Bell, Mrs Gawn, Mrs Milmine and Mrs Scanlan, set marking criteria for the judgement of the strange and unidentified creatures.

An awards assembly celebrated the creativity of the school before the aliens were moved to the office.
