Hermits to rock n roll in Oamaru
Averaging about 200 concerts a year, 60s hit-makers Herman's Hermits still haven't forgotten to include Oamaru in their tour.
The group will be singing their top hits at the Oamaru Opera House on September 12, including Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, Silhouettes, Dandy, There's a Kind of Hush, No Milk Today, Henry VIII and many more.
Herman's Hermits were rated one of the top groups in the 60s when British acts dominated the popular music scene.
From their beginnings in Manchester, England, on April 1, 1964, the band has chalked up more than 23 hit singles, 10 hit albums, three major movies, countless television shows and concert tours all over the world.
The group's touring schedule takes them to Germany, Belgium, Holland, Scandinavia, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand where they performed 10 sold-out concerts with Gerry and The Pacemakers last year.
Herman's Hermits had 12 top 10 New Zealand hits so the show is sure to encourage a sing-along.
