Locals create all the colour of Cup
Big hats, fascinators, bubbly and an auction table with some great goodies, all contributed to a great Melbourne Cup function held yesterday at the Portside Restaurant.
It was an occasion to dress up and look the part with tables sporting Melbourne Cup balloons, auction items including a copy of the Richie McCaw book, and bar staff dressed in racing silks.
Mistress of ceremonies Rebecca Flannery was looking forward to a great afternoon.
"These events are always very glamorous and everyone has certainly entered into the spirit of the occasion," she said.
