The Topp Twins kicked off filming for their new television series Topp Country in Waimate last week.

The iconic duo visited Waimate's Havoc Farm where they spent the day learning about their free-range farming. Each episode will have a theme and for this particular episode, it was all about happy pigs.

"Havoc farm fitted the criteria perfectly," said Lynda Topp.

The show won't be a cooking show, she said.

"It's about finding real people and having a nice time with them."

Ms Topp said it wasn't hard catching wind of Havoc Farm and the way they run the business.

"They are pretty well-known around here," she said.

Ms Topp said Waimate really turned the sunshine on for their filming.

"It was a beautiful day with the piglets," she said.

"It was absolutely magic."

The Topp Twins will be returning to Waimate later in the year for the Strawberry Fare which is on December 8. Jessie Waite
