Four Waitaki Boys' High School students took top honours at the Aoraki Sports Awards on Friday at the Caroline Bay Hall.

WBHS had a total of 25 successes, which included students, two staff and two coaches, but four topped the list in their chosen sports.

To make the finals, the students must be in the top four athletes in the Aoraki region for their chosen sport.

Jeremy Tasker took the certificate of excellence for swimming, Josh Tonkin won the top prize for table tennis, Adam Thompson was the best of the smallbore shooters, and Healey White took the snooker prize.
