Shaun Finlay Carter, 40, beneficiary, of Oamaru, was convicted and sentenced to three months’ community detention, nine months’ supervision and ordered to pay $40 reparation for contravening a protection order after an altercation between Carter and his then partner where he climbed on the bonnet of a car in which the victim and their daughter were trying to flee from him on September 23.
Robert James Harper, 42, dairy worker, of Oamaru, was convicted and sentenced to nine months’ supervision and four months’ community detention for one charge of male assaults female on November 10.
Kayne Desmond Langman, 22, plumber, of Weston, was convicted and sentenced to nine months’ supervision for wilful damage and unlawfully being in an enclosed yard after he was evicted from a party, broke the letterbox of a neighbouring house and damaged two vehicles, including his own, before climbing a fence of a school. He was caught by police on December 7.
Tony James McCarthy, 23, kitchen hand, of Oamaru, was convicted, ordered to pay $1000 reparation for depositing dangerous litter, and ordered to pay $500 for using insulting language in a public place on March 10, 2013.
