Murderer’s parole date gets delayed once more

The next parole date for the man convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering an Oamaru woman in 1996 has been postponed for two years.

Anthony Phillip Hitchcock appeared before the Parole Board last month for consideration of a possible postponement order.

The 56-year-old is serving dual sentences of life imprisonment and preventative detention for murder and serious sexual offending.
