Recent cold temperatures and snow falls have been trouble for many people around North Otago but not for the Ohau Snow Fields, who are having a busy season.
Ohau Snow Fields owner-operator Mike Neilson said they had been flat out since it opened on June 27 partly because of recent snow but also because last year was such a good season and their snow-making machines make it more reliable.
“It’s tracking ahead of last year.”
