Justin McFarlane was farewelled by friends and family at a service in Glenavy yesterday, as the investigation into his death continues.
Detective Senior Sergeant John Ferguson said inquiries were ongoing into those possibly having given assistance to those charged with the alleged murder of Mr McFarlane.
When the Oamaru Mail went to print last night, no new people had been identified, but police were still appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Inquiries are also ongoing into the culpability of a fifth person for the alleged murder.
Police are now conducting background inquiries around the circumstances that lead to Mr McFarlane’s death.
