Business confidence in North Otago is expected to take a hit after global dairy prices once again dropped at yesterday’s GlobalDairyTrade auction, according to the Otago Chamber of Commerce.
The latest auction has been labelled by some commentators as “disastrous”, after the index dipped 10.7% from the last sale a fortnight ago.
Otago Chamber of Commerce North Otago spokesman Simon Berry said the news was bad all round, and he expected it to have a flow-on effect for local businesses.
