Oceania Dairy intends to continue expanding at its plant north of Glenavy, despite dairy prices plunging.
On Friday, Fonterra chairman John Wilson said the farmgate milk price has been reduced from $5.25 kg/MS to $3.85 kg/MS due to continued weak demand and surplus supply.
Oceania Dairy general manager Roger Usmar said the company had no plans to revisit expansion plans at its Glenavy plant despite the dairy downturn.
