Albion crowned T20 champions

Albion were crowned Wild Buck T20 champions for the sixth time in a decade following an 88 run victory over Oamaru/St Kevin’s at Centennial Park outer oval on Saturday.

The Mungas posted a competitive 148 for seven wickets off their 20 overs with Rhys Bayly top scoring for the Mungas with 74 in the final.

Oamaru/St Kevin’s hopes of retaining the title came to a disappointing end with Matt Murphy’s side all out for a meagre 60.

Albion secured a place in the final with a three run victory over Union in a contest that went to the wire, while Oamaru booked a final spot with a seven wicket win over Valley.

The Dick Hunt holiday competition will return this weekend for round nine. Valley will entertain Union at Weston Park while Eastern welcome Oamaru /St Kevin’s to Mill Reserve.
