Albion show consistent form

Round three of the 2013 Borton Cup has offered some interesting results.

Albion proved too strong for St Kevin’s College with a seven wicket win.

The Mungas were more convincing than in their narrow one run win over newbies Eastern in their last outing but skipper Peter Cartwright said there’s work to be done to improve fielding following a few dropped catches.

Oamaru took a nine wicket loss to St Kevin’s College in their fixture.

“We didn’t bat well enough,” he said.

“We only made 107 (runs), our middle order threw their wickets away and we didn’t apply ourselves like the Waitaki Boys’ openers.”

Eastern’s Borton Cup baptism of fire continued with a 94 run loss to Valley in Waikouaiti, whilst Union had a bye weekend.
