American rugby player Sam Sirell is hoping to don the Old Golds jumper before he heads to Dublin in September.
With a season ruined by a hip flexor injury that forced him to miss a fair chunk of the Citizens Shield season, Sirell is nearing full fitness and hoping to back on the park in some capacity soon.
“I’m hopeful I’ll be able to play within the next week or so and hopefully that’s with North Otago in some way whether it’s through the Heartland Squad or development team I don’t mind.”
