Old Boys dominance of the Oamaru Liquorland Citizens Shield continued on Saturday with a 58-13 drubbing of second place Athletic Marist, while Kurow downed Valley 35-25 and Maheno fell to a 58-8 loss to Excelsior.
Old Boys’s prop Ralph Darling got the table-toppers off to the perfect start with a try inside three minutes and half back Inoke Naufahu was on target from the conversion.
Englishman Ben Palmer opened Athies’ account from a penalty two minutes later before Old Boys took charge of the match.
