Bank has no luck in heavy loss

Wednesday, August 12

Meadowbank United suffered a comprehensive 5-1 loss at the hands of second-placed West End A in the latest round of the South Canterbury Football competition.

West End A, who are in a strong battle with Pleasant Point Elite in the competition, sit just two points behind Point, while Meadowbank remain in fourth place by a solitary point.

With no semis or finals and a bye in the last round the Bank will be hoping to finish the season strongly and remain fourth, following back-to-back losses.
