Meadowank United were moments away from the shock result of the South Canterbury Football League season at the Oamaru Showgrounds on Saturday.
Bank drew 2-2 with table-toppers Northern Hearts, but led with just minutes left to play.
Hearts, who had won five and drew once before their clash with the Oamaru side, are on the hunt for their eighth successive league title, but Saturday’s stalemate reduced their lead at the top to just two points over West End A, who had a bye.
