Boys’ High beats Tainui B

South Canterbury men’s division one leaders Tainui fell to a 7-4 loss against Timaru Boys’ First XI on Saturday and Waitaki Boys’ First XI downed Tainui B in an all-Oamaru division two affair on Sunday.

Tainui won their opening six matches before being dealt a 6-0 hiding by Wakanui Black in their first loss of the season on June 13.

Jared Ovens’ side returned to winning form with a 3-2 victory over Northern Hearts ten days ago but could not prevent a second loss to lowly Timaru Boys’ on Saturday.
